Approximately nine hours ago, the president of the weak and barely functioning government in the lawless country of Somalia, Abdullahi Yusuf, publicly announced that he was resigning as president.

Somalia has been plagued by Islamic extremists who have fought the establishment of order.  The country has received notoriety from the escalated pirate activity off its shores.

"Trade shows have become a very minor part of how Apple reaches its customers"

So, Apple has pulled out of Macworld, which used to be where Steve Jobs would make the big announcements. Honestly, I always thought Macworld was put on by Apple.

I believe they *do* put on the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC), so we should expect announcements there and via “Press Events” now? I don’t mind I suppose, but I think a lot of us look forward to the “Stevenote”. The anticipation and predictions before, and the excitement and “I knew it!” after. This is just part of the company growing up.
